We also always look at keeping our WP plugins lite and uncomplicated to reduce potential errors, downtime and conflicts with other plugins.

Also bear in mind that with multiple plugins and software/SaaS we rotate through improvements on each, as well as spending time keeping up with WP updates and other bug fixes.
